According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are showing interest in Vitesse talent Million Manhoef. The 21-year-old right winger has impressed in the Eredivisie over the last few seasons, as well as shining on the international stage with the Netherlands U21s.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement refused to discuss links with Million Manhoef before their defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby. Manhoef, son of three-time MMA world champion Melvin Manhoef, is reportedly worth around £2.5m. That sounds like a steal for someone so talented.
Manhoef has risen through the ranks in Vitesse’s youth academy, where he started off as a central midfielder before shifting to left-back. During the 19/20 campaign, the youngster featured 14 times in defence, before moving up to left wing during the following season. Throughout his career, he has played in almost every position possible, which certainly makes him a more attractive target for other clubs.
So far this season, Million Manhoef has featured 17 times across all competitions, scoring four goals. He has been the standout star in a struggling Vitesse side that have picked up just eleven points from 16 games this season.
Championship leaders Leicester City are also interested in Manhoef as they aim to continue their incredible campaign. Preston North End are also keeping tabs on the talent, which means a January tussle could take place for the winger’s signature.
