HOUSTON – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued with Honduras securing a 2-nil victory against El Salvador in Group B on Saturday at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas, USA.

Romell Quioto found the breakthrough goal for Honduras in the 33’, scoring with a finish to the far post from the center of the box to capitalize on a pass from Edwin Rodríguez.

El Salvador came close to equalizing through Brayan Gil in the 41’, but his chipped attempt inside the box was a bit high above the crossbar.

Dixon Ramírez struck in the 90’+5’ to round out the win for Honduras, finishing on a counterattack from Honduras.

The victory gives Honduras its first three points of the campaign. Los Catrachos will face Curaçao in San Jose, California, while El Salvador will meet Canada in Houston, Texas, in a decisive final matchday in the group on Tuesday.
