Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of in-demand striker Richard Kone for an undisclosed fee.
Kone is one of football's remarkable recent stories having initially arrived in England to play in the Homeless World Cup before scoring for fun with non-league side Athletic Newsham.
Wycombe Wanderers were the first team to sign Kone to a professional contract in 2024 and the Ivorian went on to bag 21 goals in 52 games for the Chairboys last season.
Now Kone has made the step up to the second tier of English football after penning a deal with QPR, who pipped the competition to sign the 22-year-old.
"It’s an amazing feeling, I'm really glad to join an amazing team, a great club," Kone said on his arrival at Loftus Road.
"I've always been really hungry to achieve being a professional footballer,"
"I made up my mind when the opportunity comes, I'll be ready. I'll be ready to take it. By God's grace, it took the time that it took, four years, and when the time was right, I did take my chances and here I am."
QPR are reported to be paying a total package of £5 million, with the London club paying half of that up front.
