PSV has set its sights on American international Cade Cowell. The 21-year-old winger from Chivas Guadalajara is in the picture as a successor to Hirving Lozano, according to Mexican media (via Voetbal Primeur).

Lozano moves to new MLS side San Diego FC in January and has in turn sparked PSV’s search for his successor. It is believed that Cowell is the ideal replacement.

The American only swapped San Jose Earthquakes for Chivas Guadalajara this January after they paid around 3.5 million euros for his services. However, the Mexican club are already eyeing a quick turnaround and are planning to sell him on for a profit, according to TV Azteca and ESPN reporter Jesús Bernal.

Cowell mainly plays as a left winger. The eleven-time international has scored six goals and provided two assists in fourteen official matches this season. If PSV go for him, he will hardly feel alienated – joining up with compatriots, Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi. Sergiño Dest is also a regular for the United States, but he is currently injured.
