Paris Saint-Germain could see Sergio Ramos return to action in time for the Champions League knockout first leg against Bayern Munich in two weeks’ time, according to L’Équipe.

The Spaniard picked up an adductor injury during Wednesday night’s win over Montpellier, going off shortly before Kylian Mbappé had already done so.

Unlike the for French forward – who is out for an estimated three weeks as a result of his thigh setback – the club are optimistic about the Spaniard’s chances of coming back in time for the Bundesliga leaders’ visit to the Parc des Princes.

The former Real Madrid man is ruled out for the league fixture against Toulouse on Sunday afternoon, and further tests in the lead-up to the game will give a clearer indication regarding his recovery. After an injury-laden first year in the French capital, Ramos has become a regular in Christophe Galtier’s side this season, having played all but two of the team’s 20 games this Ligue 1 campaign.
