PSG’s forgotten man remains one of Ligue 1’s top earners

It comes as no surprise that Paris Saint-Germain dominate Ligue 1’s top-earners list. The 10 highest-paid players in France’s top flight play for PSG, whilst one of their forgotten men lies in 16th place with a monthly salary of €500,000, according to L’Équipe.

Layvin Kurzawa (31), who spent last season on loan at Premier League side Fulham, has played just eight minutes of football for PSG this season, which came against RC Strasbourg Alsace in October. Prior to his loan spell at Craven Cottage, he had played just nine minutes the season prior, which came in the Trophée des Champions and he hasn’t started for Les Parisiens since the 2020/21 season.

Kurzawa approaches end of contract

He was one of many players considered “undesirable” by the club in the summer and he was therefore placed in the ‘loft’. However, no offers arrived and the former France international ultimately remained. Given his considerable salary, it is understandable why PSG were keen to sell Kurzawa.

Kurzawa, who has been peripheral at best in recent years at PSG, will leave at the end of the season, with his contract reaching its expiry date.
