PSG’s Bradley Barcola pushing for place in France’s Euros squad

Bradley Barcola (21) has never been included in a France squad. Despite hitting form with Paris Saint-Germain since the turn of the year, the Olympique Lyonnais academy product was selected by the U21s side during the March international break. Didier Deschamps isn’t one for trying the untried and untested at a major tournament, however, Le Parisien reports that there is a chance of seeing Barcola compete with Les Bleus in Germany this summer.

Barcola has impressed in his debut season with PSG, especially in recent months. The winger has three goals and seven assists in 35 appearances in all competitions. His performance in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona was particularly impressive and his development has not gone unnoticed.

Barcola to replace Coman?

The PSG winger is sending positive signals to the Bleus selectors and his performances are seeing his stocks rise. Barcola could be the one to benefit from Kingsley Coman’s injury. The Bayern Munich winger is in a race to be fit for Euro 2024 after suffering a muscular injury earlier this month. Either way, the uncapped Barcola has put himself in the conversation.
