The summer transfer window is in its final days and there’s still no solution to the situation of Victor Osimhen at Napoli. During this summer transfer window, the Nigerian striker has been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, but no move has transpired.

Moreover, there have been conflicting reports regarding the Parisians’ interest in Osimhen. Recently, L’Equipe reported that PSG have decided not to pursue a deal for Osimhen despite Gonçalo Ramos’ injury blow.

However, new information reveals that the reigning Ligue 1 champions aren’t closing the door entirely on pursuing Osimhen in these last few days of the transfer window being open.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins noted that although PSG believe their attack is fixed, they’re not ruling out pursuing the Napoli star to make one last major purchase this summer.

“PSG feel they’ve already strengthened their attack,” Hawkins said on RMC Sport. “But with just a week left, they’ll stay alert. If there’s an opportunity to bring in Osimhen, who is eager to join, they won’t close the door on that possibility.”

Since transferring from Ligue 1’s LOSC Lille to Napoli, the Nigerian international has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances, including 65 goals in Serie A. Osimhen was also pivotal in securing Napoli’s league title in the 2022-23 season.

Nonetheless, it seems as though the Parisians won’t be looking to bring this level of goal production to the French capital.
