Paris Saint-Germain welcome Liverpool to the Parc des Princes in the Champions League tonight.
The leaders of Ligue 1 and the Premier League meet in arguably the pick of the last-16 ties.
PSG are unbeaten domestically this season and targeting French football’s first-ever invincible campaign. After a slow start in Europe, PSG have won five consecutive Champions League games, including a 10-0 thrashing of Brest over two legs in the play-off round.
Ousmane Dembele has been in career-best form for Luis Enrique’s side. The France international has scored 26 goals in all competitions, just one less than he managed in the previous four campaigns combined.
However, Liverpool arrive into the contest in good form of their own. Consecutive league wins over Manchester City and Newcastle have extended their advantage in the Premier League title race to 13 points.
Luis Enrique has a fully-fit squad to choose from heading into the contest. A decision will be made on who leads the line, with Dembele have excelled in a central role in recent weeks.
Goncalo Ramos offers an out-and-out alternative to the Frenchman, though it’s likely that €70m January signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will join Dembele and Bradley Barcola in an exciting forward line.
Marquinhos will captain the side and the Brazilian will make his 100th Champions League appearance. He’ll become just the fourth of his countrymen to achieve the feat, after Roberto Carlos and ex-PSG duo Thiago Silva and Dani Alves.
PSG predicted XI: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Vitinha, Ruiz, Neves; Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Barcola.
Paris Saint-Germain host Liverpool in the Champions League’s Round of 16 on Wednesday 5th March 2025. Kick-off at the Parc des Princes is 20:00 GMT.
PSG vs Liverpool will be available to watch on TNT Sports 1 and Discovery+ UK.
