Paris Saint-Germain’s heavy summer rebuild rumbles on, with the French heavyweights turning their attention to PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

French news outlet RMC Sport claims that Les Parisiens have reignited their interest in the Ivorian midfielder but will face competition from Bayern Munich and Liverpool, who are also interested in his services.

PSG are set to offload several midfielders this summer which will open up space for Sangare to join Manuel Ugarte in the middle of the park.

Renato Sanches and Georginio Wijnaldum are set to leave the club after falling out of favour, while fellow outcast Leandro Parades is on the cusp of joining Jose Mourinho at AS Roma.

PSG stalwart Marco Verratti is also subject to interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal determined to capture his signature.

The Italian midfield maestro could reunite with Neymar at the Middle East club, with the Brazilian set to finalise a mammoth €90 million transfer.

PSG are demanding at least €50m for Verratti, but he is reluctant to leave Europe despite approaching the prime years of his illustrious career.

The flurry of exits from the Parc des Princes has prompted the club hierarchy to revive their interest in Sangare, who has been repeatedly linked with a move away from PSV.

The 25-year-old has four years left on his agreement with the Dutch Cup winners, but there is a €37m termination clause in his contract.

PSV have repelled interest in Sangare over the years but will be powerless to halt his exit if the release clause is activated.

Sangare joined the Eredivisie giants three years ago and has developed into one of the finest defensive midfielders in the division.

PSG will need to trigger the termination clause to get the deal done but are expected to wait until Verratti decides on his long-term future.

Barcelona midfielder Gavi has also caught the eye of the PSG hierarchy, but their strained relationship with the Spanish giants complicates the prospect of a deal.
