PSG have no intention of retaining the players that spent last season outon loan abroad, according to a report this Friday from Le Parisien. Newly-appointed Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and the club’s hierarchy, namely president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Sporting advisor Luís Campos are reportedly all in agreement on the matter. This past campaign, Les Parisiens let eight players – the maximum amount allowed by FIFA – on loan. The list includes Leandro Paredes (Juventus), Keylor Navas (Nottingham Forest), Julian Draxler (Benfica), Colin Dagba (Strasbourg), Georginio Wijnaldum (AS Roma), Layvin Kurzawa (Fulham), Abdou Diallo (RB Leipzig) and Mauro Icardi (Galatasaray).

The Argentine forward is reportedly set to join the Istanbul-based club imminently in a €10m deal. Le Parisien understand that the seven other PSG loanees who are deemed surplus to requirement have all attracted serious interest. The French publication reveal that such a potential clearout is expected to give the mammoth PSG wage bill a big breath of oxygen. Should those seven unwanted players were to leave Les Parisiens, PSG would reportedly save €60m in salary alone, and not including the potential transfer fee. The Ligue 1 champions also expect some cash flow with the expected €20m sale of El Chadaille Bitshiabu to RB Leipzig. Les Parisiens also hope to part ways with centre-forward Hugo Ekitike after an unconvincing debut season at the Parc des Princes.
