PSG to rival Manchester City’s interest in Jamal Musiala | OneFootball

According to The Independent, Manchester City are interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala (21). However, Paris Saint-Germain, who are looking to further strengthen their midfield this summer, are also in the race to sign the Germany international.

Bayern Munich have struggled this season and within this context, Musiala wants guarantees of the club’s ability to compete. His contract runs until 2026 and there is yet to be any sign of a renewal or an important on his current deal. Manchester City are keen to strengthen their midfield at the end of the season and have identified Musiala, as well as West Ham United’s Lucas Paqueta and Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise, as potential targets.

PSG are also keen to strengthen their midfield. Les Parisiens have been linked with Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimarães and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, who isn’t guaranteed to remain at the Bundesliga side. However, there are other priorities at the Parc des Princes with the centre-back position, as well as potentially a centre-forward, thought to be Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, being targetted. It is therefore unclear how considerable a budget PSG will have to sign a midfielder and whether they will hypothetically be able to compete with Manchester City for Musiala.
