Paris Saint-Germain will be hoping to further cement their grip on top spot in Ligue 1 as they prepare to travel to the Stade Vélodrome for the first Le Classique of the season. The Ligue 1 champions came unstuck in their last match in the Champions League with a 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven.

L’Équipe understands that Luis Enrique is set to make two changes to his side that drew with the Eredivisie champions last time out in UEFA competition. The back line should remain unchanged with William Pacho and Marquinhos continuing to build on their partnership at the heart of the defence.

In midfield, the former Barcelona boss should opt to make one change with João Neves to be preferred to Fabián Ruiz alongside Warren Zaïre-Emery and Vitinha. Randal Kolo Muani was a fitness doubt against PSV and whilst he is expected to return to the squad for the match against Marseille. As a result, Marco Asensio should lead the line.

PSG likely XI vs Marseille:

Gianluigi Donnarumma – Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, William Pacho, Nuno Mendes – Vitinha, Warren Zaïre-Emery, João Neves – Ousmane Dembélé, Marco Asensio, Bradley Barcola.
