There is internal disagreement within Paris Saint-Germain over whether to pursue Liverpool’s Colombian winger Luis Diaz (27), reports Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna.

Earlier today, reputed transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had reported that Liverpool were not interested in selling Diaz and that PSG had different priorities in the transfer market but, according to Aouna, it has emerged that President Nasser Al-Khelaifi  and Football Advisor Luis Campos are in disagreement over a move for the winger.

Indeed, the Qatari figurehead of the PSG project believes that Diaz would be a possible replacement for the outgoing Kylian Mbappé and reports suggest that assistant Antero Henrique has already made contact with the Colombian’s representatives, whereas Football Advisor Luis Campos is urging the capital outfit to scout younger players with higher ceiling and potential. It remains to be seen whether the two parties become aligned on a move before the transfer window opens.

Luis Diaz has had a commendable season with the Reds of Liverpool, scoring six goals and assisting four more in 27 appearances as Jurgen Klopp’s men are fighting for two more trophies to add to their Carabao Cup, but with the German departing in the summer after nine years in charge, it may be time for the Colombian to seek pastures new.
