Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi heads the European Clubs’ Association. As a result, he’s likely aware of everything going around in Europe’s top leagues, which includes the possible Manchester United sale.

The Glazer family put the Red Devils up for sale last November, but they have not made any progress in selling the club. Nonetheless, the Americans have not budged despite receiving two offers above £5 billion for the club.

Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim has offered to take full ownership of the club. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s offer includes more sporting expertise than the Qatari bid.

Jassim reportedly sought Al-Khelaifi’s help negotiating with Raine Group, which controls the sale. During the European Clubs’ Association meeting in Berlin this week, the Qatari declined to answer a question regarding the takeover of Manchester United.

“I’m the chairman of the ECA,” Al-Khelaifi said (h/t Metro) as he remained quiet on the subject.

Additionally, reports claim the Glazers were ready to take the club off the market, as they were unsatisfied with the level of bids. What will happen? With the unpredictability of the Red Devils’ owners, who knows?
