Speaking ahead of a decisive Ligue 1 test against Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique was complimentary of his high-flying opponents before they visit the Parc des Princes on Friday evening (Kick-off 21:00 local time). The following was transcribed live by Get French Football News.
“Monaco are a team I really like,” began the Spaniard. “They don’t waste time calculating, they don’t ponder about the result, they press hard. They always play at a good level, and are the team that has created the most chances behind us, and are high up the Xg table.”
“It’s an important match because they are a direct rival but there is lots of time left to go in the league and there are many games to be played,” explained the former Barcelona boss. “So it’s not decisive but we want to play to a better level than our opponent and have more chances.”
“It’s going to be a difficult match but I have never seen an easy match in Ligue 1.”
