Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán as they look to boost their attacking options for the future.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, PSG are still keen on the Colombian striker but face a tough challenge due to Aston Villa’s £80 million asking price. This valuation comes after Durán’s impressive performances and a recent contract extension.

Aston Villa seem determined to keep Durán unless they receive an exceptional offer. PSG, on the other hand, value the forward at around £55 million, leaving a significant gap in the two clubs’ expectations. Other teams are also reportedly keeping an eye on his situation.

Jacobs also mentioned that Aston Villa recently rejected a £57 million bid from West Ham, marking their second offer of the window. The Premier League club is said to be holding out for a deal closer to £85 million (€100 million).

Where does Saudi Arabia stand in the Jhon Durán transfer saga?

TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, reports that the Saudi Pro League have been encouraged to make a move for Durán, though it would require a record-breaking bid for a Saudi Arabian club to secure the player.

The Pro League, which is planning a major recruitment push this summer, have been told that Durán would be open to a move to the Middle East, with his camp urging clubs to make an offer.

Currently, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli have space in their squads, but TBR Football claims that Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr is the most likely destination for Durán, with the club willing to make room if necessary.

However, the report also reveals that Aston Villa are not looking to sell Durán this month. With their Champions League campaign still ongoing, they’re reluctant to let the player go, as finding a replacement would prove difficult.

Meanwhile, Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reported on Friday that Real Madrid have also expressed interest in the Colombian forward and could join the race. Despite attention from European powerhouses like PSG and Real Madrid, Durán is reportedly considering the possibility of a move to Al-Nassr.
