Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has this evening all but confirmed that star man Kylian Mbappé will imminently depart the club.

As much, of course, comes as the France international continues to inch towards an agreement with Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid, over the terms of a pre-contract for the summer.

After Mbappé informed the PSG brass of his decision not to renew his expiring terms with the club earlier this month, the Real brass wasted little time in establishing themselves as the runaway favourites for his signature.

Two years on from seeing the 25-year-old slip through their fingers at the last, Los Blancos are now firmly on course to seal a deal for their latest Galactico addition.

And, as alluded to above, on Sunday, a fresh insight into the situation was provided by none other than PSG’s headmaster.

Speaking to the media on the back of his side’s last-gasp 1-1 draw with Stade Rennais, Luis Enrique was once more drawn on Mbappé’s place at the club.

This comes after the prolific wide-man was hooked from proceedings with a little over an hour on the clock on Sunday, whilst his side searched for an equaliser.

And Enrique, in his response, essentially confirmed Mbappé’s exit, presumably for Real Madrid:

“Sooner or later, we have to get used to playing without Kylian Mbappe,” the Spanish tactician explained, as cited by FIFA journalist Abdellah Boulma.
