🇫🇷 PSG beat Lorient to move to verge of Ligue 1 title | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain moved to within touching distance of the Ligue 1 title with a comfortable 3-1 win over Lorient on Wednesday evening.

Scorers: Bamba 73′; Dembélé 19′, 60′, Mbappé 22′, 90′

The reigning champions began the game on the front foot against relegation battling Lorient, and took the lead after just 19 minutes when Ousmane Dembélé, who cut inside two Lorient defenders to curl into the bottom corner and hand his side the lead.

Not to be outdone, Kylian Mbappé joined in just two minutes later with an audacious flick into the bottom corner after a low cross from Nuno Mendes, to leave Luis Enrique’s side cruising.

They added a third after half time with the pair involved again; some brilliant skill from Mbappé teed up Dembélé, who made no mistake and put the game to bed on the hour mark.

Lorient pulled one back courtesy of Bamba, but it was too little too late, and in the dying seconds Mbappé added his second, and PSG’s fourth of the night to crown an excellent evening.

It means that Lorient are left looking nervously over their shoulders at the drop zone heading into the final weeks of the season.

Meanwhile, PSG can be crowned champions as early as tonight should Monaco drop points away to Lyon.
