Entering the Easter weekend, the Los Angeles Galaxy are still searching for their first regular season win. The top 5 teams in the MLS Western Conference as of Saturday morning have all beaten the defending champions this year.

If the LA Galaxy lose again, Austin FC would become a sixth top team in the Western Conference to best the six-time MLS Cup winners.

How to watch the game between the Galaxy and Austin FC

As usual, the contest between the LA Galaxy and Austin FC will be available on MLS Season Pass, Apple TV, and Apple TV+. It will also air on Fox this Saturday live.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. (CT). The Los Angeles Galaxy are 0-3-5 while Austin FC is 4-1-3.

Q2 Stadium, the site of this year's MLS All-Star Game, has not been kind to the LA Galaxy. The Galaxy are 1-2-1 here. They have scored four times in as many games at Q2 while allowing seven goals.

Notables ahead of the LA Galaxy vs Austin FC game

A veteran LA Galaxy midfielder celebrated his 400th career MLS game last weekend when the defending champions hosted the Houston Dynamo. Down a player for most of the game (via Mathias Jorgensen's red card), Diego Fagundez scored for the Galaxy in the 57th minute, giving the team their third draw.

The Los Angeles Galaxy are off to their worst start in franchise history. In all 30 years with the league, they have never gone winless this deep into the season.

"I think even though we're getting healthier, there are still guys that have not played a ton with us and that are still learning a little bit more about what we're trying to do. But, yeah, we've got to clean it up. Clean up putting ourselves in a hole and the not-so-good starts. Those are the biggest things. Because after that, I feel like we find ourselves back into the game and we look all right."Greg Vanney, Head Coach of the LA Galaxy

If the LA Galaxy want to change this misfortune, Fagundez may need to be the hero again. He used to play for Austin FC from 2021 through 2023.

He joined the LA Galaxy just like teammates John McCarthy, Joseph Paintsil, Gabriel Pec and Marco Reus, among others. McCarthy was the MLS Cup Finals MVP in 2022 for LAFC and Pec is last season's winner of the MLS Newcomer of the Year Award.

Projected Starting Lineup

LA Galaxy: John McCarthy (goalkeeper); John Nelson, Carlos Garces, Miki Yamane, and Harbor Miller (defense; Diego Fagundez, Edwin Cerrillo, and Lucas Sanabria (midfielders), Gabriel Pec, Joseph Paintsil, and Christian Ramirez (forwards).
