The Premier League transfer window will close before the season seasons begins once again in 2019.
However, Premier League clubs may carry out domestic transfers from 16 May onwards this year.
Transfers of players from abroad may take place once the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) opens on 11 June.
Rather than the traditional 31 August deadline, which is still used across Europe, Premier League clubs were not allowed to sign players after the Thursday before the season kicked off last year.
That will be the case again this summer.
The transfer window will close at 17:00 BST on Thursday 8 August 2019.
Clubs will still be able to sell or loan players after the deadline.
A game on Friday 9 August is likely to mark the start of the new campaign.
