There is no shortage of Premier League transfer rumours as we enter the sixth day of the window.

Eric Dier is very much not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans, that much is clear. When the manager was asked if Spurs could afford to lose the defender, who has only made appearances this season, after Ben Davies picked up an injury, he answered in the affirmative.

The 29-year-old looks set to leave the club in January, with Bayern Munich “in talks” to sign him this month – although that is not why he was left out of the squad for Friday night’s FA Cup win over Burnley, according to Postecoglou.

The Australian claims Dier is currently injured, but when a journalist suggested his impending exit could be the reason for his absence, he told them “don’t question my integrity”.

“When I say he’s injured, he’s injured. He didn’t train yesterday. It’s got nothing to do with anything else.”

Dier can leave once Tottenham sign a new defender, which they appeared to be close to achieving this week, but Napoli have emerged as rivals to the signature of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin. ESPN report that the Serie A champions are “stepping up their interest” in the Romania international.

If Dier does join Bayern that could have a knock-on effect for West Ham United, who have also been linked with the player. David Moyes is reportedly willing to let Nayef Aguerd leave this month – but only if he can procure a replacement before the window closes. Roma and AC Milan are both interested, claim CaughtOffside.

Further north, Manchester United are getting closer to shifting Jadon Sancho, for the rest of the season at least. Borussia Dortmund are set to take him on loan for the rest of the season, with both clubs finalising “important details” before it can be confirmed, according to the MEN.

The Red Devils are still going to be paying the majority of the winger’s wages during the loan, with i Sport claiming Dortmund will only be covering between 30 and 40 percent of his salary. On top of that, there won’t be a option or obligation to buy clause included in the deal. Teammate Anthony Martial could sign for Fenerbahce this month.

Chelsea are about to recall David Fofana from his loan with Union Berlin ahead of another loan move, this time to Sevilla. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the move is “already approved” on the player side.

Back to Tottenham, who appear to be on the verge of bringing Timo Werner in on loan from RB Leipzig, according to multiple reports.
