We’ve got one more weekend of Premier League action before the March international break, and it’s a slightly smaller gameweek.

With the 2024-25 Carabao Cup final taking place on Sunday, there are just eight Premier League fixtures this weekend. The highlight also comes on Sunday, as Arsenal host London rivals Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in a big top-four battle.

There are five games on Saturday, with no early kick-off and four starting in the traditional 3pm slot. This includes Manchester City hosting Brighton and Hove Albion as they look to take control of their top four destiny. There’s also an interesting relegation battle between Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The weekend draws to a close on Sunday evening as Manchester United travel to Leicester City for the Ruud van Nistelrooy derby.

We’ve taken a look at all eight matches from gameweek 29 and offered our predicted scores.

Everton vs West Ham

It’s the David Moyes derby on Saturday as the Scot takes on his former club West Ham United with current (and former) team Everton. The Toffees have enjoyed a bit of a renaissance under Moyes, now unbeaten in their past eight Premier League games. But they’ve drawn their past three and have had more draws (12) than any other side in the Premier League this season. Moyes has also drawn five of his seven Premier League matchups against West Ham boss Graham Potter — losing the other two.

Nottingham Forest will look to tighten their grip on a spot in the top four when they host relegation-battling Ipswich Town. The Tricky Trees ended a three-game winless streak last time out by beating Man City, but they’re still struggling on the road. Winless in three away league games, a trip to Portman Road might do well for Forest. Ipswich have lost seven of their past eight home league games, though they have scored in each of the past two.

Man City vs Brighton

While you might expect goals in this game, Man City have struggled when it comes to finding the net. The Citizens have scored just one goal in their past three league games, which includes a 0-2 home defeat to Liverpool. Brighton, meanwhile, have won their past two games by a scoreline of 2-1. The Seagulls have won their past four games, the longest such run in the Premier League right now. On current form, it looks like Brighton could get their first ever away league win against Man City.

Southampton vs Wolves

Wolves will look at this game as a big chance to boost their safety hopes. Vitor Pereira’s men are currently six points clear of the relegation zone, and now their other rivals have tough games. Wolves have won their past six matches against Southampton, their longest such run in the Premier League against an opponent. On the other side of things, Southampton have lost their past eight home league games and 23 of their 28 matches in total this season. But, their past four home league games have seen 17 goals scored in total.

Things are slightly falling apart for Bournemouth right now. After their 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest, the Cherries have now won just one of their past five in the league. That win came against bottom-of-the-league Southampton, alongside three defeats. Two of the defeats came at home too, with Bournemouth failing to score in either match. Brentford, on the other hand, are on a good run away from home. The Bees are unbeaten in their past five away games, keeping four clean sheets and winning their past four.

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal are winless in three in the league, losing one and drawing two. It’s form that has seen them all-but concede the title race. But, they have a good opportunity to get back on track this weekend. Although Chelsea have won their past two games, they were both against teams in the bottom three. And at Stamford Bridge. Away from home, Chelsea remain winless since the start of December, losing four and drawing two of their past six. Arsenal are also unbeaten in their past six against Chelsea.

Fulham vs Tottenham

There’s something about an impending international break that Tottenham Hotspur just do not like. Spurs have lost each of their last five Premier League games on a matchday immediately before an international break, including a defeat to Fulham last year. That defeat also ended a run of seven consecutive Premier League wins for Tottenham at Craven Cottage. Tottenham have lost both of their away Premier League London derbies this season, and have lost seven of their 13 away league games in total.

Leicester vs Man Utd

Man Utd are unbeaten in their past three league games, though they have drawn two of those. But this is their best chance to get another three points as they look to climb the table. Leicester have lost 12 of their past 13 Premier League games, failing to score in the past five. It’s even worse at home, where Leicester have lost their past six Premier League matches to nil. Ruben Amorim cannot pass up the opportunity to get a win against Van Nistelrooy who, of course, was in the Man Utd dugout the last time these sides met in the Premier Leauge.
