Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

There were a host of big results over the weekend as Liverpool and Manchester City both maintained their push for the title.

Arsenal's 4-1 win over Newcastle though, was a different matter entirely with the Gunners taking their February goal tally to 18 and staying to within two points of Jürgen Klopp's Reds.

There were plenty of impressive performances at the Emirates on Saturday but one man who truly stood out was Bukayo Saka.

The 22-year-old's second-half goal effectively wrapped up proceedings as the winger turned Tino Livramento inside-out before cutting back on to his left foot and drilling a low shot into the bottom left corner.

It was his 13th Premier League goal of the season and with it came a special stat which showed just impressive Saka has been so far this term.

The academy graduate has now scored in five successive top-flight games, becoming the first Arsenal player to do so in nine years.

The last to reach that milestone for the north London side was Olivier Giroud back in April 2015.

There was a time, around the Christmas period, when Arsenal appeared to be fizzling out of the title race with Mikel Arteta's men struggling to find their cutting edge.

At that time Saka was experiencing a dry period in terms of goal contributions, and it can be no coincidence that Arsenal fell off slightly in their bid to upset the odds and win the Premier League tite.

Arsenal's star boy is the key to their success and when he's on form, the Gunners are simply unstoppable.

Arsenal's next clash in the title race is a trip to strugglers Sheffield United and after the Blades recent horror shows against Aston Villa and Brighton, it's surely a game Saka and his side are relishing.
