Alexander Isak – Newcastle United

After six games without a win, Newcastle got their Champions League push back on track with back-to-back victories. And they owe a great deal of their recent upturn to the form of Alexander Isak.

The Swede grabbed his first of the month in the home clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the 26th minute, he headed one in from Kieran Trippier’s cross.

The following week, Isak was instrumental as the Magpies came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest.

He netted an equaliser on the volley from Joe Willock’s cross, then expertly dispatched his penalty in injury time to claim all three points.

Alexis Mac Allister – Brighton & Hove Albion

Not far behind Newcastle in the European race are Brighton. They collected seven points from a possible nine, scoring seven while conceding just two.

Alexis Mac Allister got the ball rolling in their opening fixture of the month, scoring the opener from the spot in his side’s 4-0 victory over West Ham United. He later added an assist for Joel Veltman.

The World Cup winner was once again on target in the Seagulls’ 2-2 draw away to Leeds United, breaking the deadlock with a header in the 33rd minute.

Four days later, he helped Roberto De Zerbi’s men defeat rivals Crystal Palace at the Amex Stadium.

Tyrone Mings – Aston Villa

The Aston Villa backline was at its best this month, conceding just once from three games. Tyrone Mings was at the heart of it, playing every minute.

First, the England international helped shut out Crystal Palace as the Villans claimed a 1-0 win.

Then, he kept a clean sheet and got an assist for Emiliano Buendia in his side’s resounding 3-0 home victory against Bournemouth.

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal

Bukayo Saka is rapidly developing into one of the finest wingers in the world, and he has shone again in the last few weeks.

If he can maintain this form for the remainder of the season, it would go a long way to helping Arsenal lift the Premier League title.

In the Gunners’ first game of the month, the 21-year-old was influential. He bagged an emphatic opener and grabbed an assist for Gabriel Martinelli shortly before half-time as they defeated Everton 4-0.

After featuring in triumphs over Bournemouth and Fulham, the youngster was back among the goals at home to Crystal Palace.

He scored on either side of the break and also got another assist for Martinelli.

Mohamed Salah – Liverpool

It’s been a bit of a disappointing season for Liverpool. However, if they can take one major positive from the campaign, it’s the 7-0 demolition of bitter rivals Manchester United.

Mohamed Salah was the star of the show at Anfield. He tore the Red Devils apart from start to finish, scoring twice and assisting another two.

This wasn’t the Egyptian’s only positive display of the month. In the home win against Wolves, he was on the scoresheet to make it 2-0 late on.

Leandro Trossard – Arsenal

When Arsenal missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea, they turned to Brighton winger Leandro Trossard. The Belgian has performed the better of the pair.

Initially brought in to be a rotational player, Trossard has forced his way into Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up. He began March with an assist for Martin Odegaard against Everton.

Two games later, the 28-year-old enjoyed his best performance for Arsenal. In a trip to Fulham, Trossard registered three assists in the first half as the Gunners came away as 3-0 winners.

And he completed the month with yet another assist in the final game against Crystal Palace. This time, it was midfielder Granit Xhaka who was the beneficiary.
