Premier League club willing to pay €100m for Barcelona star | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is the subject of considerable interest on the part of Premier League outfit Newcastle United ahead of the upcoming transfer deadline.

That’s according to journalist Jose Alvarez Haya of El Chiringuito TV, who points towards Fermín López as the player in question.

Youngster Fermín has of course seen his name dominate the headlines across Europe over the week to date.

As much comes with the 22-year-old widely understood to have been earmarked as a late-window transfer target on the part of Chelsea.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Spain over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then the Blues are far from the only English club keen on Fermín.

As per a report from Jose Alvarez Haya, speaking on El Chiringuito TV:

“Newcastle have asked about Fermín and are already in contact with him. Their offer would reach €100 million and would quadruple his salary.”

It now remains to be seen if such a proposal is in fact forthcoming before Monday’s transfer deadline…
