Having developed a reputation for unearthing hidden gems in the transfer market, Wolverhampton Wanderers have worked the oracle again.
Andre’s £18.5 million move from Fluminense went under the radar last summer, but he has subsequently become a key player for Wolves.
He was superb against Everton over the weekend, and it would be no surprise if one of the Premier League’s big guns came calling this summer.
Andre set a new record for winning possession in the middle third this season, taking the ball back on 11 occasions against the Toffees.
He also misplaced just two of his 74 passes, highlighting why he has become such a crucial component of Wolves’ midfield under manager Vitor Pereira.
Several of the Premier League’s big hitters are crying out for midfield reinforcements, including Arsenal and Manchester United.
If they have any sense, their respective scouting teams will be keeping a close eye on Andre’s performances during the rest of the season.
West Ham United versus Newcastle United is as good as it gets tonight.
