Fiorentina will hope to add value to their stride in securing a top-half finish this season when they face lowly Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi tomorrow.
Fiorentina progressed to the Conference League semi-finals with a 2-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen in their last match. They lacked the clinical ability to finish off chances in the final thirds throughout the first 90 minutes of the game but improved in extra time as Nico Gonzalez and Cristiano Biraghi netted one each to keep their side in contention for another Conference League final. The Viola have a midweek fixture against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia semis and Vincenzo Italiano is expected to rotate his side to keep his players fresh. Giacomo Bonaventura might be the only absentee for the game.
Meanwhile, Salernitana could get their relegation confirmed from the Serie A if Empoli beat Napoli today and they lose on Sunday. The Granata are 13 points shy of safety with just six games to go and their fans have been suffering throughout the season due to the club’s underwhelming performances. Salernitana have not lost at home to Fiorentina and they will aim to bank on this record to give their supporters something to cheer for in this business end of the campaign.
Here are the predicted line-ups for the match according to La Repubblica:
Salernitana (3-4-2-1): Costil; Gyomber, Manolas, Pirola; Zanoli, Legowski, Gomis, Bradaric; Candreva, Tchaouna; Weissman.
Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Kayode, Martinez Quarta, Ranieri, Parisi; Duncan Mandragora; Ikoné, Bonaventura, Kouame; Nzola.
