Roma will aim to go three points clear in fourth place in the league standings with a win when they face top-four challengers Fiorentina tomorrow at the Stadio Olimpico.
With Napoli’s defeat to Juventus yesterday, Roma now have a chance to consolidate their position in fourth place. The Giallorossi started their season slowly but surged back into form and climbed the table. Jose Mourinho’s side staged a stunning comeback in their last Serie A fixture against Sassuolo. Matheus Henrique gave the hosts an early lead but second-half goals from Paulo Dybala and Rasmus Kristensen sealed the three points for the visitors. Tomorrow’s match is close to a six-pointer as Fiorentina are just a point adrift.
Meanwhile, the Viola enter this match on the back of a three-game winning run across all competitions, following victories over Genk, Salernitana and Parma. Fiorentina had to fight hard in their previous outing which was in the Coppa Italia. Adrian Bernabe and Ange-Yoan Bonny doubled the visitors’ lead and late strikes from M’Bala Nzola and Riccardo Sottil equalised the scores. The match went into the penalty shootout and Vincenzo Italiano’s men claimed victory by slotting in four. The Viola have a thick run of fixtures coming up and need to keep climbing up the table.
Here are the predicted line-ups for the match according to Sky Italia:
Roma (3-5-2): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Llorente, Ndicka; Kristensen, Cristante, Paredes, Aouar, Zalewski; Dybala, Lukaku.
Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Teracciano; Kayode, Milenkovic, Martinez, Biraghi; Arthur, Duncan; Gonzalez, Bonaventura, Brekalo; Beltran.
