The European season is almost at an end but there was still some rising and falling within our Power Rankings.
Three wins and a draw from their final four games of the season saw Diego Simeoneâs side see out the campaign on a high.
It wasnât the title defence they were hoping for but the late surge did see them pip Sevilla to third place.
Frankfurt havenât played any football in the week since our last edition of the Power Rankings.
But they donât need to when they are still partying after delivering that memorable Europa League triumph in Seville.
After clinching sixth place in Serie A with a 3-0 victory over Torino, the Giallorossi lifted their first ever Uefa trophy on Wednesday night when NicolĂł Zaniolo netted the only goal in a 1-0 win over Feyenoord in the inaugural final of the Europa Conference League.
It was also the fifth major European trophy won by coach José Mourinho during his illustrious career.
Madrid cruised over the finish line in LaLiga, ending their title winning season with a drab scoreless stalemate against Real Betis.
You can forgive them for that though. Their minds are clearly completely focused on Saturdayâs Champions League final.
Oh, Monaco. Possessors of the longest winning streak in European football going into last weekend, all they had to do was add one more to clinch automatic Champions League â which would have been richly deserved for their recent final.
But they only went and conceded a 96th-minute equaliser to draw at Lens on the final day and hand second place to Marseille. Agonising.
The Coppa Italia winners did their part on Sunday evening to make for an exciting Scudetto conclusion, thrashing Sampdoria 3-0 at home.
Inspired by a Joaquin Correa double, it saw Simone Inzaghiâs end the campaign with a five-game winning run but ultimately it wasnât enough to keep hold of their crown.
What a final day for Spurs.
Knowing their Champions League destiny was in their own hands, they duly dispatched Norwich 5-0 in the Carrow Road sunshine to seal a return to continental footballâs top table.
Through no real fault of their own, Liverpool find themselves sliding from top spot down to third.
Although they did what was required of them in beating Wolves on the final day to take the title race down to the final whistle, they drop down by virtue of those above them getting their hands on the goods.
Leapfrogging Liverpool are Milan, Italyâs new champions who brought the Scudetto back home for the first time in over a decade by ruthlessly dismantling Sassuolo 3-0 on the final day.
They have charged over the finish line, regaining the title in style by winning each of their last six games and conceding just twice in the process. Worthy champions.
Why do City insist on making it so hard for themselves when it comes to final day drama?
An epic of 2012 proportions repeated itself as, led by Ä°lkay GĂŒndoÄanâs salvage operation, they fought back from 2-0 down at home to Aston Villa in the final 15 minutes to win the title. We would say youâll never see anything like it again but as weâve learned with City, anything is possible.
