Pompey announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 23-year-old has signed an initial two-year contract with Portsmouth.
Nixon spent her youth in the Cambridge United academy system before joining Birmingham City during their time in the Barclays Women’s Super League. The forward dropped down the pyramid to get regular first team football with MK Dons and Norwich City. Nixon joined latest club Rugby Borough two years ago and made a significant impact, scoring 32 goals and providing 32 assists in just 55 games.
The youngster has proved that she is ready for professional football and she will now be hoping to impress at Portsmouth.
After adding Nixon to his squad, Portsmouth boss Jay Sadler said “We’re delighted to welcome Angelina to Portsmouth. She’s a dynamic wide forward with outstanding ball-carrying ability and a strong physical profile.
“Angelina is an exciting talent, one we’ve been monitoring closely for several years, and we believe now is the right time for her to take the next step in her career.”
Nixon is Portsmouth’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
