Porto are close to signing Newell’s Old Boys midfielder Tomas Perez after talks for him to join Inter Milan fell through.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.
Inter had been in talks to sign Newell’s midfielder Tomas Perez in January.
Reportedly, the Nerazzurri had gotten very close to reaching a full agreement with the Argentine club. There were even reports that Inter had scheduled medicals for Perez.
Then, Inter also reportedly held an interest in signing Newell’s forward Mateo Silvetti.
However, the talks for Silvetti did not get as far as those for Perez, reportedly.
According to reports, Inter had come very close to signing Perez.
However, the talks between Inter and Newell’s for Perez collapse.
Reportedly, the Argentine club had been asking for new terms for the deal.
And the Nerazzurri were not able to come to an agreement.
Therefore, Perez will not be joining Inter. Reportedly, the Nerazzurri had lined the 18-year-old up as a signing for their newly-formed Under-23 team next season.
But now, this has created an opening for Porto.
The Portuguese giants have moved in, and are now close to signing Tomas Perez.
