The Portland Timbers have added some defensive depth to their ranks ahead of the 2025 campaign, completing the signing of Jimer Fory from Independiente Medellín.
The 22-year-old is a two-time Colombian champion and has already made just under 130 senior appearances in his career.
“One of our biggest priorities this offseason was to identify players that could strengthen the team along the back line," said Timbers GM Ned Grabavoy. "
"We are delighted with the acquisition of Jimer, and we believe he can have an immediate impact with further room for growth."
Fory will come into the Timbers squad with an eye stealing the starting left-back spot from Argentine Claudio Bravo.
The Timbers conceded the second-most goals of any Western Conference playoff team in the 2024 season.
