AC Milan have retained an interest in signing winger Mikkel Damsgaard from Sampdoria ahead of next summer, according to a report.
PianetaMilan writes how the Rossoneri continue to be linked with a number of target to reinforce the attack but they may choose to wait until the 2022 summer mercato to make sure they get the right man. This is where Damsgaard’s name reappears, even though at the moment Sampdoria want €40m to sell him which is a figure deemed too high by Milan’s management.
However, he does have a salary within the parameters established by Elliott Management as well as being young (21) and having great potential for growth. He is yet to register a goal or an assist in the league this season but continues to be influential for Denmark and has already shown his ability at Euro 2020.
The report adds that Real Madrid and Barcelona are keen as well as Juventus, while Sampdoria could sell him in order to sign Gaston Ramírez back.
