Inter record their third consecutive win in the Serie A after defeating Spezia 2-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, in Milan’s San Siro district.

The Nerazzurri struggled in the beginning of the first half struggling to break down a compact Spezia defence. That is until midway through the first half when Roberto Gagliardini capped off a wonderful team move to break the deadlock.

Lautaro Martinez doubled Inter’s lead with a spot kick he himself won and from there on out it was cruise control until the end of the match.

Samir Handanovic – 7: Didn’t have a lot to do but made a great savee from point blank range to deny Spezia with an outstanding reflex save. Calm and composed.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6: Not his best performance in an Inter shirt and looked a bit rusty at times, especially when attacking where his crosses weren’t good.

Milan Skriniar – 6,5: Played in the middle of the back 3 and did so well enough. Did what he needed to do without much fuss and without making a mistake.

Federico Dimarco – 7: The ex-Inter primavera player’s best match in a Nerazzurri shirt since rejoining. Sound defensively and dangerous when crossing in attack.

Denzel Dumfries – 6,5: Encouraging performance by the Dutchman who worked his way into the match. Always a threat offensively when attacking the space.

Roberto Gagliardini – 7: If he played struggling teams from Liguria every week he’d probably be a serious candidate to win the European Golden Shoe.

Marcelo Brozovic – 7,5: Running out of superlatives to describe the Croatian midfield metronome who’s probably Inter’s most consistent world class performer.

Hakan Calhanoglu – 7,5: Another brilliant performance by the Turkish international who is in the form of his life delivering the goods consistently for last month. MOTM.

Ivan Perisic – 7: Playing the best football of his career right now even if he doesn’t think so himself. A constant threat down the left flank.

Lautaro Martinez – 7: Made simple mistakes in the start of the match before making that mouthwatering assist for the opening goal & scoring from the spot.

Joaquin Correa – 5,5: Inter’s big money summer signing has yet another disappointing performance which demonstrated that he is yet to gel with the team.

Stefano Sensi – 6: Replaced Hakan Calhanoglu in the 68th minute and helped Inter control the midfield & see out the match without makign much fuss.

Edin Dzeko – 6: Came on in the 73rd minute replacing Lautaro Martinez and does what he always does: put in a shift of work in both defence and attack.

Alexis Sanchez – 6,5: Substituted on in the 73rd minute for Joaquin Correa and looked lively after his many injury problems this season. Great option off the bench.

Arturo Vidal – N/A: Was brought on in the 87th minute for Roberto Gagliardini and didn’t play long enough to be rated.

Matias Vecino – N/A: Brought on in the 87th minute for Marcelo Brozovic and didn’t play long enough to be rated.

Simone Inzaghi – 7,5: The injuries are certainly a cause for worry but the tactician showed he’s up to the challenge. Got it spot on tactically from start to finish.

Davide Ghersini – 7: Good game by the referee keeping a consistent level whilst being well-positioned throughout. Got all key decisions right without VAR.

Inter – 7: A day at the office kind of performance by the Nerazzurri who record their third consecutive Serie A win for the first time under Simone Inzaghi.
