Pires insists Dembele can have big Barcelona future

Former France midfielder Robert Pires believes Ousmane Dembele can have a successful future with Barcelona.

The attacker's current deal runs to the end of the season and featured in this week's 0-0 draw with Champions League opponents Benfica.

"I think what happened the other day at Camp Nou, to get on the pitch and get so much love from the fans, will help him," Pires told Sport

"For the mental part of a player, it is crucial. What happened on Tuesday at the Camp Nou is a turning point.

"For me, Dembélé is one of the best players we have in France. However, it is clear that he must be very careful considering his injury history."
