Barcelona welcomed Dynamo Kyiv at the Nou Camp earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a positive result in front of their home fans. The Catalan giants dominated the ball in the first half and managed to get their noses ahead courtesy of Gerard Pique’s goal in the 36th minute. Barca kept a good shape and went into the half-time break with a 1-0 lead.
Both sides canceled each other out in the second 45 minutes as Ronald Koeman’s men managed to grind out a 1-0 victory in the UEFA Champions League.
Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Dynamo Kyiv.
The German keeper didn’t have a save to make in the game and secured an easy clean sheet at home.
He was strong in the air and kept a good shape at the back in the first half. Mingueza got replaced at half-time.
The Spaniard won his fair share of aerial duels and made some important last-gasp blocks to deny the opposition a goal. He ended up scoring the only goal of the game in the 36th minute.
Lenglet made some solid tackles to make life difficult for the Dynamo Kyiv attackers. He even passed the ball relatively well during the game.

Alba set up Pique’s goal with an excellent pass. He also created a couple of decent chances for some of his other teammates and didn’t do much wrong when defending inside his half.
He kept possession ticking in midfield but struggled to engineer too many meaningful openings in the final third.
The Spanish talent anchored the midfield quite well and even won a couple of aerial duels.
The promising youngster made one good run in the opposition half but got replaced in the 68th minute.
Dest made multiple dangerous runs with the ball down the right flank and was not shy of having a shot at goal.
De Jong squandered some decent chances to score in the first half. He got substituted at half-time.
The Dutch forward orchestrated a few good opportunities for his teammates to find the back of the net. He even made some encouraging runs with the ball in the Dynamo Kyiv half.
He didn’t get too many sniffs at goal.
The ex-Liverpool playmaker had a few bright moments in the attacking third of the field but didn’t do enough to get himself a goal.
He kept the ball moving quite well.
Aguero didn’t get too many chances to find the back of the net.
