Barcelona clashed heads with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena earlier tonight as they hoped to grind out a win on their travels so that they can book a place in the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan giants made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 34th minute when Thomas Muller found the back of the net. Leroy Sane doubled the home side’s lead just nine minutes later as Barca went into the half-time break two goals down and with a mountain to climb in the second half.

Jamal Musiala killed the game off in the 62nd minute when he got his name on the scoresheet. Xavi’s men ended up losing the contest by a 3-0 scoreline which knocked them out of the UEFA Champions League.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the contest against Bayern.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 6/10

The German keeper made some decent saves during the game but could have done better to prevent Leroy Sane’s goal.

RB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10

He was strong in the air and did his fair share of defending inside his half. He also made two good runs with the ball down the right flank.

CB: Gerard Pique – 7/10

The Spaniard made multiple interceptions at the back and tried his best to keep Robert Lewandowski quiet during the game.

CB: Clement Lenglet – 6/10

He won the ball back a couple of times and was tidy with his passing. However, he won’t be happy after shipping in three goals throughout the 90 minutes.
