Christian Pulisic nearly caused an own goal for Milan against Genoa, which is why he later thanked teammate Mike Maignan for miraculously keeping the ball out.

The Rossoneri completed yet another comeback at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris after falling behind to Vitinha’s opener, but the Rossoblu had already come close to scoring in the first half.

Maignan earns Pulisic’s gratitude after blocking near own goal

Pulisic almost accidentally put the ball into his own net while trying to prevent a Genoa player from scoring at close range, but Maignan’s incredible save kept the score level by mere inches.

“Thanks for saving me, @magicmikemaignan,” the USMNT star wrote in an Instagram story, alongside the footage of his goalkeeper’s stop.
