It is a summer of change at Milan, given that Massimiliano Allegri has now been confirmed as the new manager and Igli Tare as the new sporting director. The focus will now shift on signing new players, with the aim of improving on their below-par performance in Serie A. There are significant outgoings too, with Tijjani Reijnders seemingly on his way to Manchester City and Theo Hernandez to Saudi Arabia. Milan’s priority this window seems to be their midfield. Samuele Ricci and Morten Frendrup are firmly on the list while the latest reports suggest that Nicolo Rovella of Lazio is a player of interest too. As per Daniele Longo via Calciomercato.com, they have already made contact with Venezia over the signing of Hans Nicolussi-Caviglia. This is a player Allegri already has a high opinion of, having given him his debut for Juventus. Caviglia is coming off a seriously impressive season with Venezia, where he took a leadership role, player central midfield and also got a few goals and assists. All in all, he is expected to be Milan’s Reijnders replacement. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
