Sergio Ramos and Raphaël Varane have played nearly a decade together as a center-back tandem for Real Madrid. Now the two players have departed the Spanish club, heading in two different directions.

The France international is joining Manchester United; meanwhile, Ramos is the newest defender for Paris Saint-Germain. As Varane’s move to the English side is now official, the 35-year-old took to his Instagram account where he wished his former teammate the best of luck on his new venture to the Premier League.

“Dear Rapha, I can only thank you for these years of friendship, comradery, and triumph. I wish you good luck in this new stage which I am sure will be exciting. If we face each other, always with the team from your country, right? Take care,” Ramos wrote.
