However, the players put in the kind of committed and organized display that was needed to keep a clean sheet and book their place in the last eight of Europe’s top club competition.

Defender Francesco Acerbi celebrated the win in a post on his Instagram account, writing, “Qualified for ourselves, for all of you, and for the fans who were unable to get into the stadium.”
