Philippe Coutinho gets a new shirt number at Barcelona

Barcelona have revealed Philippe Coutinho’s new shirt number … and he follows in the footsteps of some illustrious names.

The Brazil international wore number 14 last term as the Blaugrana claimed the Liga title and lost just one game in the entire campaign.

But with Arda Turan leaving the club, Coutinho has been handed the number 7, previously adorned by the likes of Pedro, David Villa and Luis Figo.

The first opportunity you’ll be able to see the attacker with his new number is on Sunday as they take on Sevilla in the Supercopa.
