Even as we enter the final week of the transfer window, Barcelona remain in a financial soup, with no clarity on the registration of key players such as Wojciech Szczesny, Roony Bardghji and Gerard Martin.

While Inaki Pena is on his way to Elche CF, Barcelona are still yet to find suitors for Hector Fort. The club, therefore, require a fresh injection of capital in order to leave the economic woes behind, at least for the season.

One of the solutions was to sanction the sale of a first-team star, with Marc Casado and Fermin Lopez emerging as potential candidates.

However, both players hold great value to coach Hansi Flick, who particularly favours Fermin for his versatility and craft in the final third.

Barcelona ready to sell Fermin for €60 million

However, El Chiringuito claims that Barcelona are ready to part ways with Fermin this month if they receive an offer of around €60 million.

This is a massive development considering the fact that Fermin is one of Flick’s favourite attackers and a key cog in his rotation policy.

Fermin is also an avid Barcelona supporter who has shown a lot of commitment and passion.

However, it must be noted that Fermin may lose his prominence in the first team this season due to increased competition, with Gavi, in particular, now back to full fitness.

The Spaniard is also competing with the likes of Dani Olmo, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford for a place in the team.

This is a reason why Fermin has featured in only 45 minutes of league action so far and looked frustrated when his services weren’t utilised by Flick in the recent game against Levante.

Fermin has no shortage of suitors either, with Bayern Munich and Chelsea interested in his services. The next 48 hours, therefore, could be critical as far as the Spaniard’s future is concerned.
