The nominees have been announced for the 2023 Women’s Players’ Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.

Six players are up for the honour and are as follows:

  • Rachel Daly (Aston Villa)
  • Sam Kerr (Chelsea)
  • Frida Maanum (Arsenal)
  • Guro Reiten (Chelsea)
  • Bunny Shaw (Manchester City)

Matildas star Kerr is the current holder of the award as Chelsea aim to continue their dominance of it.

A Blues player has won it for four of the past five seasons, including the last three in succession.

In addition, the six contenders for the Young Player of the Year award have also been revealed:

  • Laura Blindkilde (Aston Villa)
  • Missy Bo Kearns (Liverpool)
  • Lauren Hemp (Manchester City)
  • Lauren James (Chelsea)
  • Maya Le Tissier (Manchester United)
  • Katie Robinson (Brighton)

City ace Hemp is aiming to win the award for the fourth consecutive year.
