Peter Crouch has been on top form on Twitter once again towards the end of this week with him sharing an amusing verdict on Andriy Voronin with the Ukrainian forward in the headlines this week after reflecting on his time at Liverpool.

Voronin was one of Rafael Benitez’s less successful transfer signings for Liverpool with the player never really managing to adapt to life at the club and really struggling for goals.

Earlier this week, he said in an interview just how much he struggled to settle at both the club and in the city, whilst he couldn’t grasp the Scouse accent that the likes of Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard obviously possessed.

Former Reds striker John Aldridge wasn’t having any of that, meanwhile, though his response on Twitter did open the door for a classic remark from another former Red, and team-mate of Voronin; Peter Crouch:

Voronin had it tough at Liverpool, make no mistake, and perhaps there was an element of him struggling to settle being behind his sub-par performance, not that Aldridge is particularly buying that.

You can always rely on Crouch for a good line or two, meanwhile, and he’s certainly not disappointed here.
