Parfait Guiagon was the hero for Charleroi has he scored five minutes after coming off the bench to give the Zebras a crucial win over Westerlo. Felice Mazzu has recently stated that the side should need just six points to survive, and this win now gives them another two games to grab the next three.

In a game where both sides had chances, Charleroi allowed the hosts plenty of the ball. However, their goalkeeper Herve Koffi ensured that the game remained level as he made a number of crucial saves to keep the scores level. In the 60th minute Mazzu turned to Guiagon in place of Antoine Bernier. Just five minutes later he provided a wonderful finish to a pull back from January signing Jeremy Petris.

The 21-year-old is now the sides top scorer with five goals in 21 games. He joined the side from Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer. Charleroi now overtake a number of sides to move into safety ahead of the rest of the Pro League schedule for the weekend.
