Reports emerged yesterday from France that Pedro Neto (24) was set to sign for Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers. More details from that deal have been further revealed by French journalist Fabrice Hawkins. The journalist writes that Neto will agree to a contract that will keep him in London until 2030.
Talks between the two clubs have progressed well and are thought to be in the final stages before an agreement is finalised. Chelsea are expected to pay around €60 million for the Portuguese winger with bonuses already included in the deal. And it is expected that Neto has already agreed personal terms and will soon sign on the dotted line for the former Premier League champions.
Despite excitement building over the signing of the Portuguese international. There are still some concerns over his injury record at Wolves. Neto missed 23 games last season due to a recurring hamstring issue, and in the campaign prior he missed 27 due to an ankle injury.
