Paul Pogba hails from France, has Guinean descent, and he has learned Italian and English after playing in those respective countries… but you could never have seen this coming.
In an interview with ESPN2 (Spanish), Pogba was asked t0 say one word about Peru. Instead, the France midfielder went on a lengthy rant, in Spanish, about his respect for the South American country.
His choice of language shocked the ESPN crew themselves.
Pogba stated, “[Peru is] a very strong team, very solid, who play together and have quality players. They also had bad luck in their first game. I think against Denmark, Peru had to win, but, like I said it before, it was bad luck.”
Could this mean Pogba has La Liga on his mind?
