Strasbourg reach €15m agreement to sign Reims’ Valentin Atangana

RC Strasbourg have reached an agreement with Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims to sign France youth international midfielder Valentin Atangana (19) as per So Foot. The outlet understands that Reims previously turned down three bids from the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 team for Atangana. But Strasbourg’s latest offer has been accepted. Fabrizio Romano adds that Strasbourg and Reims have reached a compromise over a €15m transfer fee plus add-ons fee.

The France U21 international midfielder was a man in demand this summer. AS Roma, in the market for a midfielder, previously joined the race to sign Atangana, whilst Al-Ahli and Galatasaray were also interested in Atangana. The latter’s move to Strasbourg is expected to be made official next week, pending his medical. Strasbourg host Nantes this Sunday at La Meinau.
